from his foster mum helen This is the true Riley when he has been given time to settle in! He just wants to love and be loved! WHO is going to be the one that has the time and patience to give Riley the forever home he deserves? Riley is great with children, walks around, rather than through, them, doesn't really seem to bother. The home he went to had 4 children ranging 2 yrs to 11 yrs and he was brilliant with all of them! The problem Riley has is with men, if they want him to do something that he either doesn't want to or isn't sure about then he growls in a pretty scarey way! This is what put off his potential forever home. The chap was frightened when Riley growled at him and wasn't prepared to give him time to settle in or work with him Riley needs a firm but consistent handler and needs positive reinforcement all of the time. He can be quite a frightened boy who really needs someone to take charge and give him some confidence. It does take Riley quite a while to settle in so any potential forever homes need to be prepared for that. He will need a crate as he is used to that being his "own safe area" and will need some considerable work doing on his recall. For at least the first 2 weeks he should not be let off a lead until he has some confidence in his handler. Hope that helps to give a little insight into our handsome, loveable, cuddly foster boy! xx
